December 2009
31 December 2009
Can it really be December already! We started with the Fashion Show. This is our 3rd and the pupils are now very confident at walking along the catwalk and 'twirling'! We raised around £400 which will be split between school and Centrepoint, a local charity for the homeless.
We held a bring and buy sale to enable pupils to purchase Christmas presents for parents which they can keep as a secret until Christmas Day. The quality of the gifts was fantastic and the thought that pupils put into their purchases was a joy to see. We raised around £200 towards Senior Schools leisure module activities.
A group from Linkage Community College came and performed Trouble in Panto Land for us. There was lots of audience particuipation and everyone really enjoyed it.
The whole school watched the film, Polar Express and then held a Polar Express Day. It snowed, we went on the train with our golden tickets, we drank hot chocolate, we danced as trains and snowmen and we made Christmas bells. All of the pupils would heartily recommend the film as one to watch. When asked which was their favourite activity the answer was 'All of them'!
The choir visited Willoughby Grange to sing to the residents.
We had the usual Christmas lunches and parties and everyone had a greta time.
